It's time to learn sign language! Sign language uses visual-manual modality to convey meaning. Sign languages are expressed through manual articulations in combination with non-manual elements. This 2-sided Sign Language Placemat shows the sign language alphabet complete with corresponding letter and hand gesture. The backside is a black and white version of the front, except that the hand symbols have been mixed up so you have to figure out what letter goes with what hand gesture. The answers can be done with dry-erase markers, and kids can color the hands as well. Placemat measures 17 x 12 inches (LxW).
