ORIGINAL CMY CUBE

Ages 5+ years

The cube that started it all. The Original CMY Cube uses the 3 subtractive primary colors — cyan, magenta and yellow — to let you view life and light through a different lens. Hold it to a window, turn it slowly, and watch new colors bloom where the faces overlap.

A truly unique and interactive object for children and adults alike. Warning: The Original CMY Cube is addictive!

What is a CMY Cube? The Original CMY Cube is best described as "a mesmerising sensory toy for all ages."

Hold it to the light and watch cyan, magenta and yellow (CMY) mix into colors you didn't expect. The Original CMY Cube blends STEAM education with playful curiosity: real optics and physics you can turn over in your hands.

How does it work? Each face of the optically clear acrylic cube is sealed with a subtractive color filter. On their own the faces appear cyan, magenta or yellow. Look through 2 or 3 at once and the filters stack, subtracting wavelengths from white light to create a whole spectrum of new colors. Twist, turn and see the world through a different lens. How many colors can you create?

The Original CMY Cube measures approx. 2 inches (LxWxH).
